Among the many eastern musical instruments he can play the Qânûn is definitely Imed Ben Ammar's favourite. He is now a virtuoso thanks to the teaching of the two great Tunisian masters Hassan El-Gharbi and Salah El-Mahdi. In 1985 he was first prizewinner in Tunisia. He has ever since been acclaimed when playing in Paris or around the world. There is no doubt his talent will keep on growing.
